Stash SA is a family business, born out of the need for some familiar tastes of home.
Arriving in Ireland was great, and we soon found our feet in Wexford. But then the urge for familiar tastes like biltong, koeksisters etc started to take effect. Here and there we would find a South African product, but they were few and far between. We eventually took the bull by the horns and started to make our own biltong, milktarts, koeksisters, boerewors and drywors. But we were soon intercepted by friends and colleagues, who had very quickly developed a taste for our home produce, and so it started, how to appease the masses.
It was then decided to look into the feasibility of supplying a larger number of different South African food products, and so it began, Stash SA evolved, and soon it was time to venture into adding additional products. At this time, it was also decided to relocate to County Laois, and operate the business from a more central part of Ireland, with quicker access North, South, East and West.
Stash SA is still evolving, and as time goes by, more and more items will be added to our list of offerings. Some of our items may be slightly more expensive that other retailers, but out research shows that Stash SA offers cheaper prices on about 90% of our products. Those items that are slightly more expensive, I have no idea how they offer those prices, hahahaha. But as the business grows, and we start importing on a larger scale, who knows, maybe we will be able to compete and offer all of our items at cheaper prices than the rest, let's wait and see.
